in zeds order he actually has children and teenagers. girls and boys. in such a place it alarms everyone that children are among the shadow glooms of his temple. some think he is using their young minds against their wills. forcing them to take the blade in his name. kidnapping them perhaps. 

however, it is all false. all minors within his order are all orphans. no place to go. destined to be killed, mugged, sexually abused, and more . orphanages being too full for them. and some even refusing to stay there.

his order provides food. provides a warm bed. provides brothers and sisters. provides them a purpose. a way to defend  themselves. knowledge, basic schooling. all he could give young pupils. 

for why? he too was just like them. a orphan, no where to go. no hope. no ambitions. a loss of dignity in himself. and several times in his life he faced being lonely. and he refuses to leave them in the same dangers and self-pity. 

he behaves as a father figure to the youngest ones. and he allows the adults of his order to partake as brothers and sisters; role models.

while everyone thinks his order is nothing but a treacherous bootcamp of cloning ninjas at rapid, no. it is a order. and at the end of the day, everyone is enjoying supper discussing their day and training.

zed encourages the young ones to try. to learn. he is available when he can be to talk to them if they need advice from their master
